Entry: may is national complaint month Tuesday, May 09, 2006

why? because i said so and because i'm in rant mode this entire month. here's the first part

on couples

guys who carry their girls' shoulder bags - what? if this is a showcase of being a strong, caring gentleman, then i guess you have a distorted view of being "the man" in the relationship. or is this just a repressed desire to know what it feels like to carry girly bags? unless your girl's limbs are completely amputated, you should never ever carry her lady bag.

pda in public vehicles - especially in the back of the fx taxi where i can see them right in front of me, faces once inch apart, the girl feigning sleep, the guy planting his lips on the girls' face as if it's not obvious that they're kissing. ugh! ! i'm also disgusted with those who do pda on escalators, the guy touching the girl's butt. can you please just get a friggin' room?!

on public courtesy

those who cut in line - hey! i didn't strain my legs in line just so you could cut in. i just hate these twits thinking that they can just cheat their way to get ahead. anyway, i'm sure they're big-time losers in their careers or social life because of their rotten way of doing things.

those who don't sit properly in public vehicles --  are your asses as big as texas that you have to occupy such a big space? geez, these people don't have any consideration for others. just because they got in first, their lazy asses won't even budge to give room for others.

those who talk loudly on their phone - either you have a weak ear or just a loud mouth. everytime a megaphone-mouth person would answer a cellphone, the people around would automatically keep silent not because they want to listen to the conversation but because they're already distracted.

those who sing in public - and the worst part is these diva-wannabes would choose to sing those regine velasquez, sarah geronimo songs with pitches as high as petronas tower. can't you just do it in the bathroom or somewhere nobody can hear you? i get goosebumps and they're not the good kind.

next up, on girls and social climbers. any complaints? join the rant fest.

I agree to everything, except the first one.

I'm not repressed or anything, but I do that to my GF.

You must hate me sooooooooooo much now.

ako merong complaint. Plural pala, complaintS!

People sleeping with other people and lets everybody know her husband in the Philippines knows and is okay with her illicit activities! Bullshit!

Next complaint, husbands who are so trusting with their philandering wives and let their wives walk all over them.

Next complaint, not-so-cultured, unread people wanting to appear sophisticated. Just because she sleeps with nearly half the men of her acquaintance, it doesn't mean sophistication.

ping! haha, my birthday month is now just a national complaint month! :( just kiddin. maybe that's apt because i'm a rant-y type, too, as you may have observed.

we share four of these complaints -- pda, singiteros, mal-sitters (er..what a stretch), and the diva-wannabes.

while some people definitely enjoy ogling an 'affectionate' pair, like you i do not want to see them. it's a bit embarassing for the witness. come on, there are many dark corners in the metro, after all.

on guys who carry girls' bags...that's a witty comment there, hera ;) i guess it's one way for men to prove their chivalry? haha! to be honest, i tried it out once on my bestfriend's bag (isa lang po -- defensive!), but immediately after wearing it, it just felt weird, impractical even. result? no more stupid acts such as that one. women's bags are for women. no sense mixing it up :D

I used to carry my ex's bag when we were still dating. You have a point here. Now that I think of it, it does look (and feel) gay. SHIT!

bomalabslalo-- wala lang.

toe-- haha! yeah, why the heck do they have to have such long celebrations? but on celebs, i think i have the perfect one to complain abt-- my fave sheryn regis. *evil laugh*

snglguy-- you're right. there already were a lot of brawls and sometimes killings because a balladeer wannabe hogs the microphone and sings "my way" in his not-so-pleasant way.

press it-- hmm... thanks for that rant. if i may add, i want to complain about parents who compare their children against each other. not that i experienced this, but there were some families who have such issues.
press it.

Great, I can't wait for the next series of rants.

BTW, I think that those cursed Karaoke jukeboxes ought to be banned. If only to inhibit those stupid wannabees from singing in public...
